RESIDENCE IN MYKONOS VI / 2016

This project was about the creation of a new private residence on the island of Mykonos.

The design is based on the elements of the Cycladic architecture combining the basic principles of the minimal architecture. Simple lines together with the use of local materials create a friendly and warm environment that becomes one with its surroundings and combines traditional architecture with modern design.

The building’s white volume features large openings towards the terraces that offer amazing views of the Aegean Sea. The materials used were white plaster, cement mortar for the floors and grey wooden casing windows and doors.

Special attention was given to the landscape design and to the exterior space. The pool with the different sitting areas create a unique atmosphere of relaxation.
