This project is a preliminary design proposal for an existing private residence on the island of Mykonos.
The design aimed to create a main house that drew from the elements of Cycladic architecture, with clean minimal geometric lines. It had to make the most of the views towards the sea and also manage to meet the owners modern functional and aesthetic demands.
The main entrance leads to the living areas, dining and kitchen whereas the first floor accommodates the master bedroom with its en suite bathroom. Semi-floor functions both as a guest house and an office space. The basement, that consists of a stuff room and storage areas, is linked via a corridor with a separate guest.
Special attention was given to the poolside and to the sitting areas paved in cement mortar in order to create a series of relaxing spots.
