ARACHOVA COMPLEX / 2007-2009

This was one of the earliest  DVSON projects.

Four semi-detached  houses overlooking the centre of Arachova village. Divided into three levels, the houses utilize the steep slope of the landscape and intergrades with it through the use of local materials and stone excavated directly from the site.

The ground floor of each house consists of the kitchen, dining and living area whereas the attic has a secondary use. The bedrooms are all located in the lower level.

Plain and simple lines, the use of materials and the exposed structural elements create a friendly and warm environment that combines traditional architecture with contemporary design.
