AIGIO RESORT / 2012

This project is about a four star resort in Aigio.

The building envelope as well as different folding surfaces are the main dominant elements of the composition. The folding adds volume to the building and brings to the background any information that needs to be downgraded. The horizontal and vertical articulation of levels in white finish separate the stucture from its environment making it an autonomous, sculpture-like object in the site.

The site length together with the view towards the sea played a key role in the initial design.

The resort is divided in two volumes that consist of seven suites. Access to the complex is via a ramp that starts from the parking space leading to  the lobby.  Semi open spaces on both sides of the building form the main entrance. The element of water acts as a connecting link between the two volumes.
